July 5, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Miami Beach Club de Futbol as a new league member kicking off with the 2020 Spring Season.

Based in South Florida, Miami Beach Club de Futbol is a registered non-profit organization and will begin play in UPSL Division I Florida Conference South Section. The club will host its UPSL home games at Flamingo Park (1200 Meridian Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Florida Conference Manager Cristian Vallejos said, "UPSL Florida continues to grow with quality from all around the state. We are pleased to welcome Miami Beach Club de Futbol to the UPSL. Owners Tony Iafrate and Filippo Bertolini have strong connections to the Italian soccer community, and a strong plan for the future. We wish Miami Beach CF the best of luck as it prepares to kick off with the 2020 Spring Season."

The first and only Pro Development soccer club in the City of Miami Beach (Fla.), Miami Beach CF is owned by Tony Iafrate and Filippo Bertolini.

Tony Iafrate serves as Executive Chairman of Miami Beach Club de Futbol. A native of Sora, Italy, Iafrate holds Bachelor's Degrees in Journalism and Business Management, a Master's Degree in Sports and Business Administration, and has worked as a consultant for clubs in Europe and South America.

Miami Beach Club de Futbol Executive Chairman Tony Iafrate said, "We are really proud and honored to have joined the big family of the United Premier Soccer League. We know that this path will lead us to great satisfaction, because we here at Miami Beach CF are building a soccer club with a foundation based on the projects, ideas, seriousness, competence, passion, education and working culture of its members; a sustainable soccer with a particular focus on the social sphere. This will be an innovative soccer model that can represent the Florida soccer panorama, but we want to identify with the City of Miami Beach as we believe that this is the best way to enhance the local interest for the club. I think the UPSL is the right league to start and build up a sustainable and serious soccer project. The club will get good exposure playing in the UPSL - as the league continues to see great expansion – and the competitive level is good. This is the right step for Miami Beach CF."

Filippo Bertolini serves as President of Miami Beach Club de Futbol. A native of Parma, Italy, Bertolini holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sales Management from Universidad Europea de Madrid in Spain, and also interned at Parma Calcio 1913 in the club's marketing and sales department.

Miami Beach Club de Futbol President Filippo Bertolini said, "I strongly believe in the potential of soccer in the United States, and we are fascinated by the opportunities that Miami Beach can offer. We like the sustainable model of soccer business with membership cards and crowdfunding, and in the future allowing for the opportunity for supporters to own part of the club."

Mitchell Torres serves as Vice President, Operations Manager and Community Outreach Director for Miami Beach CF.

"We are very happy to announce the addition of Mitchell Torres to Miami Beach Club de Futbol. Mr. Torres brings a wealth of soccer knowledge and keen business acumen to the team. He's been a vital part of the local South Florida soccer renaissance, and we are excited to see what the future holds as we begin to write our own history. 2020 is just around the corner and we cannot wait to synonymously establish our name with winning trophies. Welcome to the Miami Beach CF family, Mitchell Torres!" Iafrate said.
